So, my sister and I heard that R.E.M. were playing the Sasquatch Festival in Washington. They are one of my absolute favorite groups, right next to The Ramones and The Smiths. I remember camping out on the sidewalk in front of the mall at 15 to be sure and get tickets to R.E.M. opening their Green tour in Louisville, KY. Now I'm 35 and still going to see them as much as possible. What we didn't know was that the concert was 5 hours away. We thought it was just over the border. Oh well, we would have gone regardless. We were disappointed when we got there and saw just how far away we were from the stage. We couldn't afford the VIP tickets right in front, so we told ourselves that at least we were there. Then M.I.A. came on, a british alternative dance band that are great and wonderful. They then invited people from the front onto the stage. Then they invited more and more people from the audience. It was about that time that I noticed the security guards had their hands full and made my sister jump the barrier into the VIP section and I quickly followed. We then got as close to the stage as possible and endured the pit when Modest Mouse came on. A mosh pit for Modest Mouse? Really? We were the oldest people there I'm sure. Then R.E.M. finally came on and I took my sister's tiny little digital camera that takes 5 seconds to focus and shoot, and took some photos of the band. They are below. I only wished that I had one of my pro camera bodies and lenses. I would have been in heaven. Actually, I was in heaven, Michael was just a few feet from me!

Here's a couple of Enzo in May. It's hard to capture an image of him without any bruises on his forehead as learning to walk has been a difficult task to master! He's always naked, I can't keep clothes on him
And he's always eating, I believe that's cereal on his cheek
He shares the same big eyes that his sister has
He's a very sweet little boy!

Rachel and Leo were married on May 17th at The St. Ignatius Church in SE Portland on a very warm, no it was hot, day. There was a very large shade tree near the church that served as the perfect place to take photos and keep everyone out of the sun too. The georgeous dress. The church has a elementary school on it's grounds and that's where the girl's got ready in the school's library. It was very colorful and lots of room!

The Bridesmaids and one bridesman. They brought sunglasses so they could do this shot, they were feeling it!
The Groomsmen, very handsome

The Groom witnessing his bride walk toward him down the aisle, I love that moment of the ceremony Father and Bride walking down the aisle
Full Catholic Mass. Everyone sits. I believe the ceremony was a little over an hour and contained readings from their brothers, and an amazing group of singers.

The Groomsmen
The ceremony was traditonal and very beautiful. I learned a lot about the couple, how they met, their beliefs, and their family backgounds Exchanging of the Rings
The Kiss!

Big smiles!

They're Married!
The Reception was held at the Columbia Edgwater Country Club in North Portland The Beautiful Couple, we couldn't actually go onto the golf course, but this little area was right next to the parking lot
Look, it's Mt Hood! This area was on the opposite side of the parking lot.
Yes, that's the airport behind the couple

Cute Cake Topper! That's a nice tradition I'm noticing more and more.

In addition to wedding cake, they had yummy looking tiramisu and this strawberry/mint dessert!
