My funny, beautiful, loving, and incredibly all around awesome daughter is now 7!! When she told me 6 months ago that she was going to be seven, I was taken aback. When did my baby become a kid? It has all happened way too fast, except the first year, that one took forever:) We had her party at the Portland's Children's Museum and we were so impressed with the facilities, the employees, and the entire atmosphere. It was a wonderful place to host the party. I still had Enzo attached to my hip, plus I had to orchestrate the party, so taking any kind of photos was really hard. But here are a few...

My daughter, Emma, was graciously invited to Ava's birthday party. They go to school together at the Emerson School. They are great friends, in fact, all of the kids in her class are a tight group of wonderful friends. Enzo, our baby, and I tagged along, and I was able to get a few photos while the baby squirmed in my arms. I love taking photos of kids and especially at their birthday parties. There is so much going on that the kids don't even know I'm taking their photos. Congratulations Ava and Happy Birthday!!

I photographed the engagement session of Lindsey and Jared on a cold, windy, and rainy day in December. We did a half hour of engagement photos and then a half hour of family portraits in the lobby of the Benson Hotel in downtown Portland.
They were both so relaxed and natural in front my camera, even with the cold drizzle falling. After a half hour of photographing them, we went into the lobby of the Benson and took over the area in front of the fireplace to do some family portraits of Lindsey's family and the couple. Her family is so nice and accomodating and really made me feel comfortable, like I was part of their group. I can't wait to see them all again when I photograph their wedding in Cannon Beach on August 15th, 2009. Lindsey and Jared are both creative and
artistic and I'm really looking forward to the honor of being a special part of their incredible wedding day.
